Hall’s pieces have been described best as “soundtracks for films seen only in the mind.” Hall’s education includes art study at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu, at the University of Florida, Gainesville (Honors B.F.A.), and at Washington University in St. Louis (M.F.A.).

Title: Fall
Description:
“Fall”, a 2 minute and 38 second sound piece by Scott F. Hall, may be taken as minimal prose composed of two elements: the single English work “fall” which is contained in the title alone and the accompanying stereo sound which expresses the essence of this word. In all, the piece reflects the current state of international economic decline bluntly spearheaded by the formerly almighty dollar.
